4 Gen Deep

It is the first time in history where there are four – five generations in the workforce - traditionalists (silent generation: born between 1925 and 1945), baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964, Generation X (Gen X’ers born between 1965 and 1980), and Gen Y (Millennials born between 1981 and 1992) and Gen Z (born 1993 and beyond). We have created labels to help co-workers categorize, understand, and work with and across the differences. While the labels can be helpful, they can also be hurtful if we do not see the individual for what they bring to the workforce.
Give • Forgive • Live Lesson™: Let us recognize the generational differences while embracing and capitalizing on the uniqueness and strengths that the individual brings to the workforce. Realize that all generations should be flexible, learn from each other, challenge the status quo AND work within the team concept.
